*Memories of Piri Piri Chicken*


Join us on Sunday, 1 June, for an event that celebrates memories of a historic dish with more than 300 years of tradition. It all started when the Portuguese brought chilies to Mozambique, giving birth to Piri Piri chicken, a dish that our chef cherished during his childhood in Portugal. This event is entirely dedicated to our signature Piri Piri chicken, crafted with traditional methods and expert marination, featuring a special family Piri Piri recipe that delivers bold flavors to excite your palate.

Chef Kei's passion for his heritage grew as he connected with the Malacca Portuguese community and learned from local recipe holders. A pivotal moment was meeting the late Noel Felix, the oldest recipe holder, whose teachings and melodies inspired the creation of Macau Kitchen in Edinburgh.
